Derek Lam Spring 2012

Derek Lam's latest collection has California Cool written all over it with pops of neon colors against whites and neutrals. Brown leather pieces mixed with white lightweight almost crochet looking skirts and dresses. I am in LOVE with everything in this collection, he clearly took inspiration from originally being from the fabulous west coast and made it work so well. But this collection doesn't have an old stuffy retro vibe to it but more of a new take on old retro pieces with bright colored/printed flowy dresses, leather shift dresses with exposed zippers, chunky knit sweaters, and tailored pants with contrasted colors/fabrications.  I will take one of everything, please and thank you!
